How much exposure to ethylene oxide is dangerous?
Worker exposure to ethylene oxide is regulated to very low levels for safety. The OSHA permissible exposure limit is 1 ppm over 8 hours, and prolonged or higher exposures can cause serious long-term health risks including cancer.
